Account
Delete account
You can delete your Frudini account at any time. All your personal data and content will be permanently removed.
Stand: 11 May 2026
What happens on deletion
The following data is permanently removed when you delete your account:
- Authentication data (email, display name) at Firebase Auth
- All content of your household book in Cloud Firestore: transactions, budgets, savings goals, recurring entries, categories
- Your memberships in shared household books
- Uploaded receipt photos
Active subscriptions at Apple or Google are not automatically cancelled by deleting your account — they remain at the respective platform and must be cancelled there separately (Apple ID → Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions).
Option 1 — Directly in the app
The fastest route is through the app itself:
- Open Frudini on your device.
- Tap the Settings tab.
- Choose the Account section (labelled with your name at the top).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm the security prompt. For safety reasons you will be asked to re-authenticate.
After confirmation your account is deactivated immediately. Final deletion of all associated data takes place within 30 days.
Option 2 — Deletion request by email
If you no longer have access to the app, you can request deletion by email:
- Recipient: hauke.olf@gmail.com
- Subject:
Account deletion - Body: Please provide the email address registered with your account. For security reasons the request can only be made from that exact address.
We confirm receipt within a few business days. Final deletion takes place within 30 days of receiving your request.
Shared household books
If you own a shared household book, you will be asked before deletion whether the book should
- be transferred to another member (recommended if other members are using it), or
- be deleted completely.
If you are a member of someone else's book, deletion only affects your access. The book's contents remain for the owner.
Statutory retention
Where statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. under § 257 HGB or § 147 AO in connection with payment processing), the affected data is — instead of being deleted — restricted from further processing for the legally prescribed period and removed permanently afterwards.
